On September 5, 2026, the Jining stop of the national roadshow event — the “10‑Countries‑100‑Cities‑1000‑Enterprises Brand Tour” for the 2027 Changsha International Construction Equipment Exhibition (CICEE) — kicked off successfully. Co‑hosted alongside the 2026 Shandong‑Hunan High‑Quality Development Cooperation & Exchange Conference for the Construction Machinery Industrial Chain, the event gathered government officials from industry and information technology authorities of Shandong and Hunan provinces, industrial experts, and representatives from over a hundred industrial‑chain enterprises in Jining to discuss coordinated development of the construction machinery sector. Dong Guangshan, Chief Economist of the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Shandong Province, pointed out in his address that construction machinery serves as a pillar of the equipment‑manufacturing industry. The industry is currently in a strategic window for new‑round high‑quality development, with comprehensive acceleration in electrification, intelligence and green transformation, creating broad space for deeper cooperation between Shandong and Hunan. Guided by the “No.1 Project” for industrial economy, Shandong has advanced industrial quality and efficiency improvement. In 2025, the province’s construction‑machinery sector registered operating revenue of RMB 102.6 billion, with products exported to more than 130 countries and regions, and fostered leading enterprises including SDLG, Shantui Construction Machinery, and Lingong Heavy Machinery. In the first half of this year, the sector achieved operating revenue of RMB 53 billion, a year‑on‑year increase of 16%. Boasting distinctive strengths and complementary edges, Shandong‑Hunan industrial cooperation has kept deepening since 2020, evolving from simple supply‑demand matching toward joint R&D and coordinated global market expansion. He expressed the hope that this event would serve as a new starting point for efficient docking and pragmatic cooperation among industry players to deliver win‑win outcomes at a higher level. Li Tiandong, Vice Mayor of Jining Municipal People’s Government, stated in his speech that the construction‑machinery industrial chain constitutes a key pillar of Jining’s industrial economy. A complete industrial ecosystem has taken shape in the city, with Shantui Construction Machinery as the leader supported by collaborative small‑and‑medium‑sized enterprises, achieving an in‑situ complete‑machine supporting rate exceeding 70%. As the first edition of the Shandong‑Hunan exchange event held outside Jinan and Changsha, this gathering fully recognizes Jining’s industrial progress. Jining will keep optimizing its business environment, actively integrate into cross‑provincial industrial cooperation, and warmly welcome enterprises from Hunan and across China to invest and set up supporting projects locally. Li Xiaoping, Second‑level Inspector of the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Hunan Province, noted that Shandong features a sound industrial system, strong complete‑machine capacity and solid component‑supporting foundation. Hunan is home to leading OEMs such as Sany, Zoomlion, CRCC Heavy Industry and Sunward Intelligent Equipment, forming a full‑fledged industrial ecosystem of “leading‑enterprise driving, supporting‑cluster aggregation and industry‑university‑research collaboration”. The two provinces feature prominent dislocation‑based advantages: OEMs and component suppliers have mutual demands, technical resources can be shared, and market channels are mutually accessible, laying solid ground for in‑depth collaboration. He put forward four proposals for further cooperation: first, deepen industrial‑chain supply‑demand docking and open supporting resources bilaterally; second, strengthen joint R&D on key technologies to tackle bottleneck links; third, boost mutual learning in smart manufacturing and green manufacturing; fourth, jointly explore domestic and overseas markets and march global markets hand‑in‑hand to elevate the global influence of Chinese construction‑machinery brands. Chen Jialiang, Director of the Exhibition Department and Deputy Secretary‑General of the Intelligent Manufacturing Sub‑Council at the China Machinery Industry Federation, delivered an address. He mentioned that in 2025, the value‑added output of industrial enterprises above designated size in China’s machinery industry rose by 8.2% year‑on‑year, with operating revenue hitting RMB 33.2 trillion, an all‑time high. Import and export turnover of construction machinery reached USD 62.743 billion, growing 13.2% year‑on‑year. In 2026, the sector maintained restorative growth. Sales of electric loaders surged 82.4% year‑on‑year in H1, while shipments of unmanned mining trucks jumped 213.57% year‑on‑year. New‑quality productive forces are reshaping industrial competition landscapes. Though geographically apart, Shandong and Hunan are closely bonded via industrial collaboration, with obvious complementarity between Shandong’s strengths in bulldozers, road machinery and mining equipment and Hunan’s advantages in lifting machinery, concrete machinery and excavators. Since 2020, the two provinces have built a long‑term cooperation mechanism of “Hunan in odd‑numbered years, Shandong in even‑numbered years”. It is expected that both sides will take this conference as a fresh starting point, improve regular exchange mechanisms, make joint progress in technical R&D, market development and standard formulation, build a new ecosystem for coordinated construction‑machinery development, and accelerate the upgrading of provincial industrial clusters toward world‑class levels. As a top industrial‑economic province in northern China, Shandong lists construction‑machinery as one of its 11 “top‑priority” industrial chains. It boasts strong capabilities in engines, gearboxes and other segments, and hosts leading players including SDLG, Lovol Heavy Industry, Weichai Power and Shantui Construction Machinery. Hunan is China’s core cluster for construction machinery, with Changsha hailed as the “Capital of Construction Machinery”. Home to Sany Heavy Industry, Zoomlion, CRCC Heavy Industry and Sunward Intelligent Equipment, Hunan sees major product lines such as excavators, cranes and concrete machinery rank among China’s top output volumes. With prominent dislocation‑based strengths, Shandong and Hunan see mutual demands between OEMs and component manufacturers, creating a robust foundation for deep industrial‑chain collaboration. Prior to the roadshow, the CICEE organizing committee carried out thorough field visits and research across Shandong. The committee visited dozens of key enterprises including Shantui and Shandong Times New Energy, to gain insights into corporate realities in technological innovation, market expansion and supply‑chain supporting. Through solid pre‑event research and targeted enterprise outreach, the committee collected concrete procurement requirements from participating companies, ensuring each roadshow arrives at front‑line enterprises with real‑world order lists. Different from traditional exhibition models that only ramp up efforts close to show dates, CICEE adheres to the core philosophy of “value co‑creation with enterprises”. Breaking the limitation of “over‑emphasis on on‑site activities while neglecting pre‑ and post‑show services”, CICEE extends exhibition services across the whole calendar year and stretches its industrial ecosystem along the full value chain. More than 150 core construction‑machinery enterprises from Shandong and surrounding provinces took part in this roadshow, including roughly 100 purchasing entities and over 50 OEM and component manufacturers. Key Shandong participants covered Weichai Power, Shantui Construction Machinery, Lingong Heavy Machinery, Lovol Heavy Industry, Shandong Yuangen Petrochemical, Shandong Sun Wear‑Resistant Parts, Qingdao Likechuan Hydraulics, Shandong Shankuang Machinery, Shandong Hengwang Heavy Industry, Shandong Anda Heavy Industry, Shandong Chufeng Heavy Industry, Shandong Qiyun Group, Shandong Lutong Heavy Industry, Shandong Yunyu Machinery, Jining Jiubang Construction Machinery and Jining Luxin Construction Machinery. The Hunan delegation was led by industry champions such as Sany Heavy Industry, Zoomlion, CRCC Heavy Industry and Sunward‑XCMG Aerial Work Platform. Multiple cooperation signing ceremonies were held on‑site. Weichai Power Co., Ltd. and Zoomlion Heavy Industry Science & Technology Co., Ltd. inked a strategic cooperation agreement for in‑depth collaboration on power‑system supporting and joint technical R&D. CRCC Heavy Industry Group Co., Ltd. and Qingdao Likechuan Hydraulic Co., Ltd. signed a deal targeting domestic substitution of high‑end hydraulic components and supply‑chain coordination. In addition, several Shandong component enterprises reached long‑term supply intentions with Hunan OEMs. As CICEE’s flagship initiative to expand global reach and connect domestic and overseas merchants, the “10‑Countries‑100‑Cities‑1000‑Enterprises Brand Tour” kicked off its global premiere in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in November 2023. It has since landed in multiple key overseas destinations including Malaysia, the United States, South Korea and Kenya, as well as domestic industrial hubs such as Suizhou, Changzhou and Guangzhou, staging more than ten roadshows. The Jining stop marks the in‑depth roll‑out of the CICEE 2027 national tour across Shandong. According to the organizing committee’s roadmap, roadshows will keep reaching more industrial hubs at home and abroad, deliver real procurement demands to every stop, and bring precise business opportunities directly to enterprises. The 2027 Changsha International Construction Equipment Exhibition (CICEE) is scheduled for May 12‑15, 2027 at the Changsha International Convention & Exhibition Center. Regarded as a benchmark global construction‑machinery expo, CICEE is on par with the world’s top‑three construction‑equipment expos in terms of exhibition scale, visitor volume, number of exhibiting Fortune Global 500 players and industry influence. It is expected to cover over 300,000 sq.m of exhibition space, host more than 2,000 exhibitors (including over 400 OEMs), and attract upwards of 150,000 professional visitors. More than 100 Shandong‑based enterprises including Lovol Heavy Industry and SDLG have participated in successive CICEE editions. Adopting a full‑cycle service model of “pre‑show targeted invitation, on‑site efficient matching and post‑show sustained follow‑up”, this roadshow has united more than 60 international and nearly 50 domestic industrial associations to build an industrial‑chain‑wide empowerment network and realize a value closed‑loop of “four‑day exhibition plus year‑round services”. Leveraging full‑cycle industrial‑service strengths, CICEE has built a five‑tier standardized global communication matrix and five targeted promotion channels to fully unlock long‑term online business acquisition paths for enterprises via digital tools, empowering them to conduct global business. It helps exhibitors connect with premium procurement resources in advance, expand regional channels and lower customer‑acquisition costs. |
