Yuelu Mountain is located in the national AAAAA tourist attraction, Yuelu Mountain Juzizhou tourist area, with an altitude of 300.8 meters. It is one of the 72 peaks of Nanyue Hengshan Mountain and one of the four Maple appreciation resorts in China. It is located in the heart of the Xiangjiang River opposite Changsha City. It is one of the many alluvial sandbars in the lower reaches of the Xiangjiang River and the largest inland continent in the world. Juzhou, facing Yuelu Mountain in the West and Changsha City in the East, is surrounded by water on all sides and stretches for tens of miles. The narrow part is about 40 meters wide and the wide part is about 140 meters wide. Its shape is a long island and it is one of the important scenic spots in Changsha.

Aiwan Pavilion

Aiwan Pavilion was founded in 1792, the 57th year of Qianlong reign of the Qing Dynasty, by Luo Dian, the dean of Yuelu Academy. Together with ZUIWENG Pavilion (1046) in Chuxian County, Anhui Province, Huxin Pavilion (1552) in West Lake, Hangzhou, and Taoran Pavilion (1695) in Taoran Pavilion Park, Beijing, they are known as the four famous pavilions in China. Aiwan pavilion was originally called red leaf Pavilion, also known as Aifeng Pavilion. Later, Bi Yuan, the governor of Huguang, renamed it aiwan Pavilion according to Du Mei's poem "there is a house in the depths of white clouds when the stone path inclines far up the cold mountains. Stop and sit in the night of loving maple trees, and the frost leaves are red than flowers in January and February".
